It is composed of microporous cells that are constructed like a net to pick up graphite marks. It requires little pressure to remove graphite lead from B to 2H degrees. The open-cell foam will get into the small grooves of the paper and the slick black erasers offer smudge-free performance and will offer cleaner results.  Erasures will form into strands for easy disposal
